New WDSF Judging SystemIn the final of the 2011 Grand Slam Finals, with each dance performed as solo, the adjudicators will grade the couples on the above scale, awarding them points from 1 to 10, with a possibility of awarding half points (.5) too. And, most importantly, each and every one of the six couples is judged seperately on what is an absolute scale of perfection.

Prior to that spectacular stage in the competition, the same adjudicators will decide on a comparison-based basis, i.e. on the virtues of the traditional skating system, as to who will move from round one to two and on to the final.
