This is the final post to the "Live from Singapore" blog. WDSF Communications would like to thank all of the loyal followers for their outstanding support over the last eight days. You all made the crucial bit of difference in a campaign that established DanceSport to be capable of driving an audience just as massive as those of what some label as the "mainstream sports". We had more unique visitors than ever spending more time on this blog and on worlddancesport.org. With the WDSF YouTube channel DanceSport Total we left some of the most successful channels and some of the strongest sports brands in our territory behind for a number of days. You made us # 1 in Spain for the number of videos viewed per day (13 September), # 2 and # 3 for numbers of videos viewed per week, top ten for the month ... And on http://www.facebook.com/dancesporttotal and on http://twitter.com/#!/DanceSportTotal we gained momentum too!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
We should be back with more soon: the 2011 World Youth Latin and the Grand Slam in Ostrava, CZE, on 1 and 2 October, will likely be our next blogs. To be confirmed by mid next week!
And finally, here's the Final Reel - Part II on the six finalists in Singapore!
The great acceptance that met our "nearly real-time" reporting on the 2011 WDSF World Latin in Singapore had the two cameramen, Ferran Castañer and Prof Helmut Roland, decide to shift through their recordings again and release a 30-minute highlight programme. Mostly with footage that has not yet been shown! If you participated in the championship, chances are that you will see yourself somewhere.
The two-part Final Reel wraps up the coverage by WDSF Communications. This is part one!
Part II ... Check back later today or tomorrow!
Our friend Chieko Abe of the Japan DanceSport Federation has just forwarded great photographs she took last Saturday in the Grand Ballroom of the Suntec Centre in Singapore. Nice shots of the six finalists in the 2011 WDSF World Latin! Even though they are all in our Gallery, we put some up here too.
WDSF Communications is glad that accreditation for Chris McGrath, the getty photographer, could be arranged.
Excellent promotion for DanceSport!
Allow us to indulge and to ride this wave just a little while longer ... We take up from the previous post and upload three JPGs that should tell it all. They are excerpts of screenshots taken of the WDSF YouTube channel DanceSport Total earlier this morning.
This we simply must share with you without any delay. Above all, because YOU are responsible for it to happen in the first place. The WDSF YouTube channel DanceSport Total TOTALLY shattered all existing records for number of videos viewed over the past three days. And we continue to peak ... Earlier today, the channel was ranked
# 1 among the YouTube Partners
# 2 among the YouTube Directors
# 2 among all YouTube channels
in what is our primary territory, simply because we have the channel registered here (and an office in Sant Cugat near Barcelona), in Spain. Putting all of it into perspective, we left some of the most successful YouTube channels and some of the most global brands in all of sports (Real Madrid CF) behind us. Who would have thought that this could be achieved with DanceSport? Well, it can. Thanks to YOU! That we had to succumb to the FC Barcelona channel and did not make into # 1 across all categories, that is not a problem at all ... Barcelona plays football they way the top couples in the 2011 World Latin dance: in search of the ultimate perfection.
That this blog would be particularly successful in terms of number of visitors, pages called up, etc. was somehow expected by WDSF Communications. Due to the fact that the race for the Latin title appeared more open than ever, we all believed that the statistics would be exceptionally good. That they went right off the scale established since the launch of worlddancesport.org on 11 February 2011, that came as a suprise. As did the many favourable comments on the "Live from Singapore" coverage we have received over the past 48 hours.
This is what some of the other event reporters had to say about the "Live from Singapore" blog and our videos.
We want to thank World DanceSport Federation for providing the high quality videos and the unprecedented up-to-the-minute reporting on this event. The World DanceSport Federation creates some of the best videos in the world and is tied with Paradigm DVD, which are considered the best in the world. The WDSF IT technology support team are the best in the business and are always coming up with new ideas that help keep us (DanceSport fans) connected and up to date with DanceSport events.
DANCE SPORT SHOW wants to thank the worlddancesport.org team for their effort to bring us information almost live, and beautiful videos from the hottest DanceSport championship of the year.

Departing Singapore with much more footage than what has gone up here and on the WDSF YouTube channel DanceSport Total until now, the WDSF Communications team signs off for the moment. The blog, however, will remain active for another week.
It was fun. Thanks for visiting/watching! And remember, ...
Coverage on the 2011 WDSF World DanceSport Championship Latin in Singapore continues here and at DanceSport Total with a highlights programme. Available from 16 September 2011!
The solo Cha Cha Cha by the finalists in the 2011 WDSF World DanceSport Championship from another point of view (PoV)! In fact, it is from the most priviledged seat at any DanceSport competition that WDSF Communications team member Prof Helmut Roland recorded the six performances. The clips should provide you with a vantage point identical to that of an Adjudicator in Singapore. Enjoy!
Before departing Singapore, WDSF Communications uploaded the six solo Cha Cha Chas of the final in the 2011 World DanceSport Championship Latin to its YouTube channel DanceSport Total, which is currently ranked as the # 4 most visited Partner channel in Spain (ahead of the official Real Madrid CF channel) for today. Who said that DanceSport cannot beat football in terms of popularity?
To keep the thread alive on this blog, we make them available here as well. And more: for the first time ever, WDSF Communications had two cameramen on location at the championship. We will shortly start to upload the Cha Cha solos filmed from floor level to provide you with yet another angle at some of the most spectacular Lation action ever. So return here soon for more ...
