1. More than 200 competitors from 50 countries are taking part in the World DanceSport Championship in Melbourne this weekend. How long have you and your partner, Milana Deitch, been a team?
Michael: We've actually been dancing together for 16 years. We knew each other before we started dancing in the same dance studio. Our teacher thought it would be a good idea to pair up.

A very formal gala dinner was the last in a series of events that were to precede tomorrow's (which downunder is today's) World DanceSport Championship Standard in Melbourne.
The athletes and officials together with their fabulous hosts sat down for an exquisite dinner at the Sofitel Melbourne on Collins hotel.
Speeches were held and some of the participants were honoured for their contributions to the success of the 2012 World Standard ... plus the other two World Championships (2004, 2008) already staged in Australia's sporting capital.
