1600 spectators at The Arena Aarhus enjoyed an excellent evening with a lavish programme of superb dancing. The crowning moment of the European Standard final occurred when the local dance pair, Marianne Eihilt and Brian Eriksen, succeeded in winning silver medals.

3,000 spectators enjoyed watching world-class Latin dance at the 2004 European Championship in April at the Atletion Arena. 64 couples from more than 30 nations competed in the championships, which was won by a narrow margin by the reigning Latin world champions Formica and Nikiforova of Germany. And to the immense joy of the highly enthusiastic crowd, the silver and bronze medals were won by the local favourites, Kongsdal/Franova and Stokkebroe/Juel.
