PIX: Part of the Mix

Wuhan, CHN - 13 September Photographs are always an integral part of the "Live from ..." coverage. What would our reporting be without the exceptional pictures capable of telling more than a thousand words?

Our colleague Helmut Roland has been very busy yesterday taking photographs of the 2014 GrandSlam Latin. "The arena is a perfect DanceSport venue," he commented, "it allows me to move freely around the floor's perimeter and shoot couples who always seem to line up on the very edges."

What Helmut doesn't like: as often in Asia, colourful and forever changing lighting schemes are used to enhance the dancers' presentations. This makes his work very challenging. And it paints the dancers in all colours of the spectrum.
