67 Couples | 38 Nations

26 October - Moscow, RUS © Melnikova 67 couples have been entered into the 2015 European DanceSport Championship Latin by 38 WDSF National Member Bodies. That's a 12% increase in numbers over the edition that was held here at the NRGi Arena in Aarhus last year.

The official Starting List will become available under LIVE RESULTS in the right column just as soon as the first round gets underway.

Yesterday we reported erroneously that Yury Simachev - Anastasia Klokotova would be here and - as third-placed couple at the Russian Championship - dance this European. We stand corrected: the couple joining Armen Tsaturyan - Svetlana Gudyno as part of the Russian delegation are Stanislav Nikolaev - Elena Ziuziukina. They ended up in thrid place at the Nationals after Andrey Gusev tested positive for doping and had to be disqualified. A positive is always a sad story! But WDSF Communications would like to shed some more light on this one because others may learn from the mistakes made by Andrey.

wow, sad news. Does this mean Andrey and Ekaterina are banned from competition for good or just Europeans?
