The participation in the GrandSlam Latin Moscow is lower than in 2015, the last year that it was held here, hosted by the now defunct Russian DanceSport Union. 221 couples now against 296 back then. That the expulsion of the former WDSF member for Russia would have an impact on the sport was inevitable. The efforts of the new member, he All Russian Federation of DanceSport and Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll, should recover any terrain or momentum which were lost in no time at all.
