The round two is in progress and the results after round one and rdance are available. Of the 87 couples that started in this World Latin, 48 are still in competition. The others are able to relax until the second and formal Opening Ceremony, which starts off the evening session at 18:00 UTC/GMT, will see them called back to the floor one more time.
The first videos and photos are also uploaded. Everything seems to be running smoothly. One interesting statement was made by Hermann Goetz, President of the Austrian DanceSport Federation and perennial World Championship organiser.
A few years ago, you saw some very mediocre dancing by couples from countries with very little DanceSport culture. There were always a few in round one and redance. But now you don't have that any more. Everybody is at the very least technically competent.
