Danish DanceSport Federation President Karen Pedersen informs about an injury sustained by Malthe Brinch Rohde, which keeps him out of the European Latin five months later.

The Danish Vice-Champions Latin, Malthe Brinch Rohde and Sandra Sorensen, semi-finalists in GrandSlams as well as European and World Championships, had to cancel their participation in this year's European Latin at the last moment.
Since Malthe suffered a severe injury, breaking his foot in December 2017, great efforts by the Team Denmark medical team have aimed to make him recover in time to dance in Debrecen. Unfortunately, after preparing in Debrecen for four days, the pain in his foot prevails. In consultation with his doctors of Team Denmark, he finally decided against dancing tomorrow.
Nevertheless, he and Sandra stay on in Debrecen to cheer for their fellow competitiors, wishing them all the best of luck. They thank the the Team Danmark specialists for their tremendous efforts in trying to bring them back on the floor in record time.
