2019 WRRC European Championship Boogie Woogie on August 16-17

WDSF Associate Member, the World Rock’n’Roll Confederation (WRRC) hosts the 2019 European Championship Boogie Woogie in Stuttgart. Juniors and Seniors will have their Championship on Friday 16th, Seniors starting in the morning and Juniors starting in the afternoon, while the Main Class couples will have their Championship on Saturday 17th.

35 Main Class couples, including all top 15 couples on the World Ranking List have registered for the event. Sondre Olsen Bye – Tatiana Georgiievska (NOR) will start the competition as the reigning European Champions and the first runners-up of the 2018 World Championship, together with representatives of 14 different countries, amongst them the current World Ranking List leaders Jonathan Haug – Emma Danielsson (SWE).

23 Senior couples will have their European Championship on Friday. The reigning European Champions in Seniors, the French Raphaël Dupas – Laurence Nograbat will have their competition together with the representatives of eight countries.

26 Junior couples representing nine countries will compete for the title on Friday evening. The title is open as all of the three medalists of last year have moved on to Main Class.

The Boogie Woogie events take place in Hegelsaal until the evening sessions, as the finals of Juniors and Main Class will be danced in Beethoven Saal.
