The WDSF Athletes' Commission (AC) is a permanent commission of the WDSF Presidium that consists of athletes who are elected solely by other WDSF athletes. The AC represents the interest of the athletes, advises the Presidium on matters that are relevant to the athletes, and works to improving the communication between the Presidium and the athletes.
The 4-year term of our current Senior representative, Mr. René Ewals, has concluded. As such, all athletes from the countries dancing in the Senior age category may now volunteer or be nominated as candidates. One of the candidates approved by the Commission as qualified under the WDSF Athletes Commission Operating Policy will be elected to serve a 4-year term as a member of the Athletes Commission.
Any active athlete in the Senior categories who has an active status under the WDSF, may submit his or her candidacy together with a resume and reasons or statement for candidacy, to the following e-mail address by the 8th of September 2017, 23:59 CET: [email protected]. René Ewals has already volunteered/nominated as a candidate to be re-elected.
We will be conducting a combined election with both an in-person election at the WDSF World Senior 2 Championships in 10 dance in Salsomaggiore, Italy on the 21th October 2017, and parallel electronic elections from 9th September 2017 up to and including 18th October 2017. Further instructions on the electronic voting will be issued once the candidates are known.
One of the accepted candidates athlete will be elected from whole election processes.
