Eight years after winning their first Standard world title in Vilnius, LTU, Domenico Soale and Giola Cerasoli repeated the exploit at the 2012 WDSF Professional Division World DanceSport Championship Standard in Moscow, RUS.

It was a superbly organised championship embedded in the traditional Crystal Cup and it registered a record participation in terms of number of couples as well as nations: 40 couples represented 17 nations. Russia and Italy fielded the largest contingents.

The level of dancing was extremely high and the championship outcome was very tight indeed. Check the full results here. Runners-up were the defending PD World Champion Standard Paolo Bosco dancing with his new partner, Joanne Clifton.

Here is the group Waltz by Domenico Soale and Giola Cerasoli in the final plus an interview with the new champions conducted by Gianni Chiapperini.
