Call for PD candidates for the Athletes Commission 06/06/2019

Athletes Commission

The WDSF Athletes Commission (AC) is a permanent commission of the WDSF Presidium that consists of athletes who are elected solely by other WDSF athletes. The AC represents the interest of the athletes, advises the Presidium on matters that are relevant to the athletes, and works to improving the communication between the Presidium and the athletes.

The 4-year term of our current PD representative, Ms. Lina Chatkeviciute, has concluded. As such, all active athletes from the PD may now volunteer or be nominated as candidates. One of the candidates approved by the Commission as qualified under the WDSF Athletes Commission Operating Policy will be elected to serve a 4-year term as a member of the Athletes Commission.

Any active athlete of the PD may submit his or her candidacy together with a resume and reasons or statement for candidacy, to the following e-mail address by 20 June 2019, 17:00 CET: .

Following your submission to the AC, each candidate will need to be approved and after approval will be added to the list as an eligible candidate.

We will be conducting a combined election with both an in-person election at the German Open Championships in Stuttgart on 13 & 15 August 2019, and parallel electronic electionsfrom 1 August 2019 up to and including 12 August 2019. Further instructions on the electronic voting will be issued once the candidates are known.

Following the elections, the candidate voted in will become a part of the Athletes Commission.
