Cancellation | Postponement 22/11/2012

Ashdod

The organisers of the 2012 WDSF PD World Championship Showdance Classic, which was to be held in Ashod, ISR, on 9 December, had to give in to the pressures caused by the volatility of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas that went into effect today.

WDSF Sports Director Marco Sietas spoke to Boris Odikadze, the chairman of the Ashdod Organising Committee and the President of the Israel DanceSport Associatio, earlier today. Between them, they have agreed that the cancellation of the World Championship would be the only option in order to guarantee the safety of the participants.

The 2012 WDSF PD World Championships Showdance are cancelled or postponed "sine diem." Check here on the PD section of the website for updates.
