The members of the Presidential Task Force (TF) commented on the report they had presented to the 2017 General Meeting. The video below is the PowerPoint presented by the Task Force leader Lukas Hinder as an introduction.
Yes, there were voices that expressed disappointment over what the TF had achieved since August 2016. But in all fairness, one should have waited for the outcome of the WDSF Presidium Meeting held on 13 June to render a more final verdict on that. The members of the Presidium decided unanimously to review all the panels of adjudicators that - according to the newly established policy (which was suggested by the TF) - have been announced for 2017.
The TF also feels that it desperately needs a new name, one which puts the emphasis on the positive side of its assignment. The provisional working title is "Keeping The Floors Clean!" TF, but you are invited to make your own suggestion for an appropriate name to [email protected].
There will be a second part to the report on this particular session of the 2017 Forum. It will deal with the key recommendations made by Mr Harri Syväsalmi.
