"The Star Championship" in Pieve di Cento / Bologna set the stage for the first WDSF Professional

And the results are ...

1. Benedetto Ferruggia - Claudia Köhler / Germany
2. Nikolay Darin - Natalia Seredina / Moldova
3. Bjorn Bitsch - Ashli Williamson / Denmark
4. Isaia Berardi - Cinzia Birarelli / Italy
5. Luca Rossignoli - Merje Styf / Finland
6. Alessandro D`Amora - Maria Gorelik / Italy

Dr. Allessandro Barbero, who was at the place, reports that it surely was "a special night for Isaia Berardi and Cinzia Birarelli from Italy: as a matter of fact they were celebrating their 10th year of dancing in the WDSF Professional Division, finishing in the 4th place of the prestigious final of the WDSF PD World Open Standard. This couple, currently national champion of Standard dances in the Professional Division in Italy, was many times finalist at the WDSF PD European and World Championship, supporting the Professional Division from the very beginning and contributing to raise this category within the WDSF by providing quality and sportsmanship every time".

At the end WDSF PD Director, Verena Sulek from Slovenia, and the Italian National President of MIDAS, Piercarlo Pilani, who both followed the competition in Pieve di Cento, expect a continuous development of the WDSF Professional Division.
