2013 Bassano Wrap-Up 13/02/2013

Even if only four months had passed since the last World Championship in Junior II Latin, the Russian DanceSport Union sent two new couples to Bassano, ITA: Semen Khrzhanovsky - Vitalina Bunina and Daniil Bykov - Maria Chernykh.

And a good decision it turned out to be, as the talented young dancers were able to equal the feat of their predecessors in Kistelek, HUN, when they secured first and third place.

The only couple making both finals, the one in 2012 and in 2013: Dawid Podgajny - Oliwia Popek, POL.

But ultimately that is the nature of things. Couples are moving up the age groups rather rapidly. The stars in Junior II today are the ones in Youth tomorrow.

Second place in Bassano went to Michal Kieszek - Teresa Kusykh, POL.

It was a slightly different story in the Professional Division. Even if the 2013 World Champions in Standard are new to the division and the title, they have been around for quite some time. That much for longevity in DanceSport.

In a contested final, Gozzoli - Daniute, LTU, prevailed over Bosco - Clifton, ITA, and Di Toro - Tarlykova, RUS.
