But reigning European Champions Armen Tsaturyan and Svetlana Gudyno, RUS, who hold the number one position in the combined World Ranking, should have their say in the matter too. As do the other four couples who also danced the final rounds in Wuhan and Hong Kong: Charles-Guillaume Schmitt - Elena Salikhova, FRA, Marius-Andrei Balan - Khrystyna Moshenska, GER, Timur Imametdinov - Nina Bezzubova, GER, and Yury Simachev - Anastasia Klokotova, RUS.
Right behind them is another group of couples that have been close to making the final on a number of occasions this year: Umberto Gaudino - Louise Heise, DEN, Edgar Marcos Borjas - Alina Nowak, ESP, and others.
Making it to the final and from there onto the podium is probably harder in Stuttgart than at any of the other GrandSlam locations. Who would want to miss Stuttgart?
