2015 GrandSlam Wuhan 24/04/2015

2015 GS Wuhan The GrandSlam Series returns to Wuhan only seven months after it premiered in the ten-million metropolis in September 2014. Nearly all of the world's top dancers will gather at the Optics Valley Gymnasium for the Latin and Standard contests held on 25 and 26 April. The number of entries equals that of last year: 82 dance the Latin, 77 the Standard GrandSlam.

One Latin couple that everybody expected to make its GrandSlam debut in Helsinki, FIN,  figures on the Wuhan starting list: Marius-Andrei Balan and Khrystyna Moshenska, GER. Ominously absent are the winners of the first 2015 leg: Nino Langella and Vera Bondareva, ITA. Sure, there are plenty of rumours going around - but the WDSF Communications team will not comment until they are corroborated by facts or an official declaration.

All but one couple of the top 15 in the World Ranking Standard are in Wuhan, determined to accrue even more ranking points and to get a share of the prize money that is offered by WDSF and the local organiser at all GrandSlams.

Stay tuned for more information that will be published on the dedicated "Live from Wuhan" blog. You can access it here!

Enjoy the atmosphere at the Optics Valley Gymnasium on the day prior to the GrandSlam: approximately 2,000 couples compete in the China Open that runs concurrently. Music: Carioca by Edmundo Ros (Casa Musica).
