2017 GrandSlam Helsinki 13/01/2017

#gabrieleandannaontop Not that there is plenty of activity planned between now and 17 March, the day we roll out the "Live from Helsinki" blog with coverage on the GrandSlam Standard (18 March) and Latin (19 March), but that's the day when everybody on the WDSF Communications team gets back into the swing of things.

The first leg of the 2017 GrandSlam Series is again embedded into the traditional Finland Open held between 17 and 19 March in Hall 4 of the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre. Visit the Finland Open website for extensive information on all aspects of the three-day event: https://www.finlandopen.fi.

We were thinking that it would be nice to be able to announce the 2016 World and GrandSlam Champions, Gabriele Goffredo and Anna Matus, MDA, as the "IWGA Athletes of the Year" on the occasion of the Finland Open. Do do make that happen, however, we need everybdody to cast their votes between today and Monday. Every day! Registering for the IWGA newsletter to make the vote count double! Right now they are in fourth place - but way more than 1,000 votes out of first.

If they make the top ten by Mopnday, they will remain in contention for the title. You will have another two weeks, through 31 January, to vote every day ...
