6,000,000 Videos Viewed 23/02/2012

Milestone Exponential growth has continued to mark the development of the WDSF YouTube channel over the past year. In fact, the figures show unprecedented levels of activity on, to and from DanceSport Total during 2011.

On (and behind) the channel the number of uploaded videos surpassed the mark of 1,000 very recently. How many hours of recordings does this represent? No idea, we would have to investigate first! We do know that over the past few days we have produced 30 videos on the GrandSlam Latin in Copenhagen, DEN, with a combined duration of 03:15:24 between live webcasts, short clips and longer reels. All of which was possible only because we were able to count on a full-blown broadcast operation put in place by http://www.dk4.dk at the venue.

Traffic to the channel has increased to an extent that 20,000 views per day are average by now, and that peaks of 100,000 views should probably not be too far off. Who would have predicted the 6,000, 000 videos viewed could be reached that rapidly?

Content from DanceSport Total goes far and wide. Sometimes we get the impression that we have turned into the principal syndicators of DanceSport video content to online publishers worldwide. We don't mind and would only ask that due and proper credit be given to WDSF. Not all our "clients" seem to understand that ...

Last but not least, the channel has also gone past the 6,000 subscribers in recent weeks. It is particularly to these loyal followers that we owe a great deal! Thanks for tuning in week after week - and please tell your friends to subscribe as well!

The journey will continue! Stay tuned!
