Sergey Konovaltsev - Olga Konovaltseva © Römling A couple that shaped the look and feel of Standard dancing in a truly unique way over the past few years has put an end to its joint career.

Sergey Konovaltsev and Olga Konovaltseva, RUS, held off until the last possible moment in announcing that they would no longer compete together. Just prior to the Russian Championship Standard in St Petersburg, Sergey and Olga let everyone know that their splendid career as one of the most charismatic couples in recent history had come to an end.

They picked the moving "Ne me quitte pas!" - a French chançon made famous by Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel - as their musical farewell from competition at the highest level.
