Birmingham, Lima or Ufa ... 21/01/2015

The World Games 2013 Cali © Roland On Thursday 22 January, the International World Games Association (IWGA) will announce the name of the Host City for The World Games 2021. Birmingham (USA), Lima (PER) and Ufa (RUS) have presented their bids to host the 11th edition of the multi-sport event in 2021.

IWGA President José Perurena will present the result of the Executive Committee’s vote at a press conference in the Mövenpick Hotel in Lausanne on Thursday 22 January, 11:15am. This announcement is subject to successful negotiation of contractual conditions, and subsequent confirmation by the IWGA‘s AGM in April 2015.

The IWGA Bid Evaluation Commission was headed by Vice President Max Bishop. The decision on the host city for 2021 will be taken by the IWGA Executive board after the final presentations of Birmingham, Lima and Ufa on the 21 January at the IOC Headquarters in Lausanne.
