The Federazione Italiana Danza Sportiva (FIDS) organises the 2011 national DanceSport championships (all disciplines) again in Rimini. Under the brand "sportdance," the event brings together some 30,000 athletes - and in total well over 100,000 attendants - for national and international competitions, exhibitions, classes and a trade show staged over nine days.

From 28 May to 5 June the exhibition centre Fiera Rimini will be the backdrop to what is most likely the biggest event in DanceSport worldwide. In terms of the economic impact, the organisers estimate that 25 million Euros will have been generated by the time sportdance closes its doors next Sunday.

You can follow most of the competitions on a dedicated live stream website. The 2011 European Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll Championship was the highlight of sportdance's first two days. Watch here!
