Destination Finland 11/02/2017

Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova, RUS © HK Sportfinder One thing is certain: at this stage of the season the top couples try to avoid going head-to-head with any of their direct opponents in World or International Opens. But even so, it is interesting to observe that some didn't enter any international competitions so far in 2017. Simone Segatori - Annette Sudol, GER, don't have a result for the year. The same goes for Armen Tsaturyan - Svetlana Gudyno, RUS, Gabriele Goffredo - Anna Matus, MDA, and Timur Imametdinov - Nina Bezzubova, GER, in Latin.

Marius-Andrei Balan- Khrystyna Moshenska, GER, on the other hand, have danced and won two World Opens already. Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova, RUS, will dance their second World Open tomorrow in Antwerp, BEL.

Different roads lead to Helsinki, FIN, because another thing is also certain: that is where all of them will meet for the first leg of the 2017 GrandSlam Series. Always provided that the air bridge between Germany and Finland works: the German Championship Latin takes place on 18 and the GrandSlam Latin on 19 March!

More about the GrandSlam Standard (18 March), the GrandSlam Latin (19 March) and the Finland Open altogether - from 17 to 19 March - can be found under www.finlandopen.fi
