Hosting Record 05/09/2017

Chengdu, CHN - 24 September © Roland The next weekend will see hosting records tumble in the city of Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan province located in southwestern China. With the World Standard held on Sunday 10 September, the city will have reached the double digits by hosting its 11th WDSF World Championship. It will have done this in a record four years. The Chengdu organisers started out with GrandSlam legs in 2011 and 2012, moved on to a World Youth Latin in 2013 and established themselves as a permanent hosts to the two Showdance World Championships from 2014.

Over the course of the past two years, they have added the World Ten Dance and the World Latin for good measure. This year it's the World Standard.

Dancers love the city and the residents love them. Follow it all here through the "Live from Chengdu" blog.
