IDSF - IPC Adjudicators' Congress 27/05/2010

After signing their Cooperation Agreement in 2008, IDSF and the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) have successfully implemented its terms on many ocassions already. The number of Wheelchair DanceSport competitions which are held concurrently with those for able-bodied athletes has increased significantly over the past two years.

The two parties to the agreement have also pledged to join forces in the education of adjudicators. And this is soon to become reality too. In August IDSF and IPC Wheelchair DanceSport organise the first joint Adjudicators' Congress in Stuttgart, GER.

IDSF Education Commission Chair Natasa Ambroz and her IPC Wheelchair DanceSport counterpart Corrie van Hugten are in charge of the joint congress. The programme of lectures - scheduled for August 22 - will be announced here in due time.

"It is with great pleasure that I inform you of the first combined Adjudicators Congress to be held in Stuttgart, GER, on 22 August 2010," wrote IDSF Secretary General in a letter to the 88 National Member Bodies. In the coming days, IPC Wheelchair DanceSport will also announce the congress on its new website.
