MOVE IT ... Again in 2011 ... 17/02/2011

Move It!

What is one of the world's biggest dance festival is happening again.  MOVE IT is set to flip, waltz, pop and rock its way back to London, GBR, between 10 and 13 March 2011. Taking place at the Olympia and now in its 6th year, MOVE IT attracts well over 20,000 dance fans from all corners of the globe over three energetic and entertaining days.

What will change from last year? Two things as far as DanceSport is concerned!

While the IDSF National Member Body in England will again be partnering with MOVE IT, it does so under a new (and more accurate) name. DANCESPORT ENGLAND takes the place of EADA ...

Another change will be the MOVE IT Ballroom! DanceSport England, together with its branch EADA, will promote dance through classes. As the organisers put it:

"In typical MOVE IT style, it’s a ballroom with a twist, featuring exciting and unexpected classes that will encourage you to grab a partner and take to the floor. Think vintage style moves, sensual tango, Latin beats, swinging lindy hop and acrobatic rock & roll."

To give you an even better idea of what is happening during the MOVE IT festival, we take a look back at the 2010 edition and one of the may memorable performances then.

Do you remember the couple in this clip? No?

It's the 1999 IDSF World DanceSport Champions Latin ... And more recently the stars of "Strictly Come Dancing" on the BBC.

The International DanceSport Federation is proud to support its National Member Body from England in making sure that DanceSport is again part of MOVE IT!
