Salsa in Cali, COL It's D-Day in Cali, COL, today. "D" as in "Delirium"! With festive celebrations and the televised entertainment show under this name the Host City launches the official countdown to The World Games 2013 .

At 7 p.m. Cali time, the President of Colombia, Juan Manuel Santos, the Mayor of Cali, Rodrigo Guerrero, and other political leaders - including the newly appointed Director of COLDEPORTES and IOC Member Andrés Boteró (pictured below) - welcome IWGA President Ron Froehlich and National Olympic Committee representatives from different countries for the launch of the countdown to The World Games 2013 at the Coliseum Evangelista Mora.

With "Delirium", a spectacular show based on Salsa - the dance style that Cali takes pride in being its foremost promoter - the 18-months countdown to the games gets underway. "Deliirium" will be televised around Latin America.

On request of the Cali Organizing Committee, Salsa was included on the official Sports Programme of The World Games 2013, alongside Latin and Standard. DanceSport is assigned the Cali bulllfighting arena as venue.
