In a ceremony at the Kaohsiung City Hall on 20 September, WDSF President Carlos Freitag and Mayor Chen Chu formalised an agreement for the city to host the WDSF World DanceSport Games 2013

The inaugural edition of these multi-disciplinary games takes place in Kaohsiung, TPE, from 15 to 21 September 2013.

The Competition Programme for the WDSF proprietary  World DanceSport Games has been established between the hosts – the Kaohsiung City Government – and the sanctioning body.

Also in September and just across the Taiwan Strait, the 2012 Beijing International DanceSport Open featured a line-up of four premier events in the WDSF competition calendar: the World Youth Latin, the World Freestyle Standard, the World Freestyle Latin and the third leg of the 2012 GrandSlam Standard Series. The "Live from Beijing, CHN" blog reported on them extensively. And with the World Freestyle Championships becoming an inspired contest of superb dancing and storytelling, one cannot wait for their 2013 editions that will again take place in Beijing, CHN.
