The Best Is Still To Come 08/10/2014

2014 World Latin Ostrava © Roland The two World Championships staged by the Czech DanceSport Federation and organiser František Davídek continued the tradition of memorable dance events held previously at the CEZ Arena in Ostrava.

First and foremost, both championships were a huge draw at the gate. Thousands of spectators had gathered on Saturday and Sunday and made for the typical Ostrava atmosphere that brought out the best in every couple on the floor.

A nationwide television audience of approximately 700,000 watched the PD World Showdance Latin on CESKA Televizie's main channel during primetime hours on Saturday. Considerably less tuned in for the World Latin that aired much later (from 23:00) on CESKA TELEVIZIE's sports channel.

The online coverage that a WDSF Communications team produced was also followed by massive audiences: more than 120,000 videos were viewed through YouTube on each of the two days. Approximately 50,000 visitors to  the "Live from Ostrava" blog on this website were recorded for the two days. All in all, one of the very best results ever! And more is still to come ...

Here is the trailer for the Vimeo programme on the semi-final and final of the 2014 World DanceSport Championship Latin in Ostrava, CZE, on 5 October. You are able to enjoy all 80+ minutes for US$ 2.95 through the WDSF on-demand service DanceSport Total Plus!
