The IDSF held an Adjudicators' Congress on 6 November in Maribor, SLO, just prior to the World Latin taking place there. An extensive summary on the outcome will follow soon. For preliminary information we refer you to another website at the bootom of this news item:

IDSF Adjudicators’ Congress

Just prior to the IDSF 2009 World DanceSport Championship Latin in Slovenia, the organisers staged an Adjudicators’ Congress at a Maribor dance school. It was very well organised by Natasa Ambroz (unfortunately absent due to health reasons) and Heinz Spaeker. Well over 100 IDSF Adudicators attended, and everyone present agreed that the congress provided excellent information on the following topics: Wheelchair DanceSport, the new IDSF Judging System and the Viennese Waltz. DanceSport World correspondent Donna Edelstein and photographer Sharon Starkston (her pictures are above) report on the congress here! Just one thing needs to be pointed out before you go to the site: the International Olympic Committee calls for “less subjective” judging systems in all sports.
