Tokyo hosted the first 2019 PD Super GP Std 10/03/2019

PD SuperGP Std Tokyo 2019 Prize Presentation | © Helmut Roland The first WDSF PD Super GrandPrix Standard of the year was competed in Tokyo, Japan on Sunday. The Komazawa Olympic Park General Sports Ground Gymnasium was packed full to see the PD Superstars entering the dancefloor in front of the supporting Japanese crowd.

The Moldovans Nikolay Darin - Natalia Seredina started their competition year in Tokyo - and with a win. The couple started their final with an amazing waltz, taking a lead with 0.95 points. They never gave up the lead and ended up on the highest step of the podium with a margin of 3.012 points over the silver medalists, Andrey Motyl - Ekaterina Kim (RUS). Cheng Dan - Li Zhenni (CHN) ranked third, Alessandro D'Amora - Maria Gorelik (ITA) ranked fourth, their fellow Italians Alessandro Ilarioni - Aurora Sbardella fifth, and Marts Punins - Dana Jakobsone (LAT) sixth.
