After we had been able to watch Stanley Au, the patron of the Hong Kong DanceSport Association (HKDSA), dance with his partner Zhao Di during the official Opening Ceremony for this GrandSlam Standard, it was up to the youngest HKDSA members to follow suit during the break of the evening session.
We caught up with close to 100 Juveniles in the backstage area. They were ready to get onto the floor and show their choreography to the sellout crowd at the QE II Stadium.
This formula of combining top-level DanceSport with the one that is practised at the grassroots explains a good part of the success this event has had year after year.
