After our focus over the weekend was on producing the live feed from the two Grand Slam Finals, we have recovered from the many and rather stressful hours we spent in Salou, and we are now turning to the follow-up on an outstanding event.
Prof Roland went through the thousands of photographs he took on Saturday, made a first selection and forwarded many of them to us, telling us to "select which ones to include in the Gallery". We decided to upload all of them ... Or would you be able to narrow the selection (below) down further?
At the same time, our videographer/editor Ferran Castañer (pictured above togther with the Latin Grand Slam Champions Andrey and Anna) has started to work on the clips of the final, with the idea to have all 30 solo dances in the final uploaded once more by couple. This time in HD and with the full score included as graphics and!
Last but not least, we are also working on two 52-minute highlight broadcasts of the GS Finals which will, hopefully, air on TV channels around the world.
And the 2011 WDSF Grand Slam Champions Latin are ...
Andrey Zaytsev and Anna Kuzminskaya

The first round of the 2011 WDSF Grand Slam Latin Final in Salou, ESP, was preceded by the final of a WDSF PD International Open Standard. Time code reference: 00:00:00 WDSF PD Open Standard | 00:46:40 WDSF Grand Slam Latin Final (Round 1).
With the Grand Slam scheduled fashionably late, round one starts at 21:20, we have decided to stream another highlight of the XIII Spanish Open LIVE prior to that.
The final of the WDSF Professional Division Open Standard will be danced at 20:45 CET and we will show you that in full length.
We also advise that the Grand Slam Latin Final consists of three rounds. They have been confirmed to be on time, no delays as we had experienced yesterday, and they start respectively at ...
21:25 | Round 1 | 12 couples dancing
22:08 | Semi-Final 9 couples dancing
23:10 | Final
The final will take one full hour with all dances performed as solos.
For those who will be in bed by then, the live stream will be recorded as well. You can watch tomorrow at work!
Interview with Andrey Zaytsev - Anna Kuzminskaya, RUS, earlier today. After Alexey Silde and Anna Firstova last year in Shanghai, CHN, will they be the next Grand Slam Latin Champions from Russia?
Martino Zanibellato and Michelle Abildtrup, ranked # 4 in the world, like it in Salou, ESP. It's a lucky destination for the two: they broke into the big league by coming in third here at a European Championship a few years back. And tonight?
Ahead of tonight's Grand Slam Latin Final: an interview with Sergey Tatarenko - Viktoria Tatarenko, the German champions. They entered all five Grand Slam events and had travelled to Tokyo too.
Simone Segatori - Annette Sudol, GER, look back and ahead as they end their most successful year on another high note. Freestyle Standard World Champions and runners-up in the 2011 Grand Slam Standard Final. More of the same, please!
Getting to the top is difficult, staying there ... is the plan for 2012! Emanuel Valeri and Tania Kehlet, DEN, make it two in a row. World Champions and Grand Slam Champions in just over one month!
Remember yesterday, Sergejus Makarovas, the RLS Adminstrator for Lithuania, writing to us about including information on the World Latin Formation on this blog? He forwarded results and some excellent photographs, but he wrote ...
Nobody gives me videos :(
The resourceful man he is, he recorded his own. Since many people here in Salou were rather surprised when they saw the Vilnius results - "What, only fourth?", some of them said in uttter disbelief - we post Sergejus' videos to document how the top two teams and the fourth performed last night.
We also hope that the Lithuanian DanceSport Federation will be able to forward the broadcast (that was obviously produced) to us. That way we will upload more extensive coverage on the World Latin Formation.

Can you please also show us the WDSF International Open Standard?
At least just the final? We would love to see it!
Thank you in advance!
Best regards, DD
