There are occasions in life when the adversities keep piling up and, finally, reach a height that makes them unsurmountable. WDSF Communications had thought that with six people on location the two one-hour live programmes for Eurosport and the "Live from Cambrils" blog could easily be handled side-by-side. No one expected to be able to take a stroll on the beach while on assignment. To the contrary, everybody came prepared to put in long hours - and to put out quality work from the Municipal Sports Hall. Here on the blog as well as in the two broadcasts. But with the working conditions more than precarious, we had to resort to some quick triage ... and assign all available resources to the broadcasts. Work on "Live from Cambrils" and the uploading of clips and photos had to be deferred to later.
We apologise to all those who have turned to the blog for information and only found the live results up-to-date. What have we learned: DanceSport cannot happen without the hairdryers, anything below 1 Mbps upload for Internet access is no longer acceptable. And we also need to look at the processes again. Sorry guys! We will now start uploading everything and make this blog complete too.
You don't have to apologize, you guys did a freakin great job at everything ! It was honestly epic, I loved every minute of it.
It was a great event and it was handled awesomely, dont you worry about the small "inconviniences". After all, you were only 6 people.
Instead, thank you so much for all the hard work you put in, and keep up the good work. I'm proud to see our sport is being brought out to the world, and that's thanks to the WDSF Communication. (it was about time !! :P )
