The WDSF Communications team has arrived in Hong Kong only days after the equivalent of Tyrannosaurus rex in the rubber duck species made its first appearance in the harbour here.
The flights from Europe were packed - most likely because of today being a holiday there and Europeans (those who can afford it) flying in for a long weekend of sightseeing and shopping.
On the bus ride from the airport to the hotel we met up with Valentin Lusin, all by his lonely self. His parther Renata Busheeva got bumped off the flight. The airline refused to transport her with only a temporary travel document.
Renata stayed back to get her passport on Friday - remember: today's a holiday - and fly 48 hours later. Valentin's obersvation: "It feels like only half of me is here. A very unfamiliar sensation; we always travel together."
