At Five-Year Intervals

Berlin World Ten Dance Berlin is a highly regular host to World DanceSport Championships. In the historical perspective, Berlin was among the first three European capitals where competitions were staged at the beginning of the last century.

When the German DanceSport Federation celebrated its centennial in 2012, it commemorated the fact that the first ever DanceSport competition in the country was held in the capital. Read up on it here!

The 1971 World Latin in Berlin saw Peter and Hanni Neubeck winning the title. 

In the New Millenium two World Championships in Ten Dance continued the long-standing tradition. 2003 saw the first and 2008 the most recent held at the Max-Schmeling Hall. What a party it was, not at last because Germany won the title with Christoph Kies Blanca Ribas Turon, you discover by reading the article that WDSF published in the World DanceSport Magazine.
