Good Morning From Tallinn

Tallinn, EST - 22 February © Roland It was a great GrandSlam Standard final that concluded rather late last night. The schedule of the entire competition had to be altered to allow for adjudicators and couples to make it to the Estonian capital after a strike in Frankfurt had left them stranded overnight.

The deserving winners of the first GrandSlam Standard leg of 2014 were Dmitry Zharkov and Olga Kulikova, RUS, who had themselves another magic night by connecting well with the public at the Audentes Sports Hall. Nikolay Darin - Natalia Seredina, MDA, were the runners-up, making their first career podium. The same goes for the third-placed couple Evaldas Sodeika / Ieva Zukauskaite, LTU.

Remarkable is the fact that less than three points separate the second from the fifth couple in the standing.

For reasons beyond our control we cannot provide the individual results for the quarterfinal, semi-final and final with all the depth you came to appreciate until later. We thank you for your understanding.
