Ever since 1 November 2016, Russian dancers were without a national governing body holding membership with the World DanceSport Federation. If one looks at the results they obtained in international competition since then, the number of titles they won, they did alright on their own. But since 6 July 2017, the day when the WDSF Presidium voted to admit a new National Member Body, they should be able to count on institutional structures and governmental support once.
The "All Russian Federation of DanceSport and Acrobatic Rock 'n' Roll" is the new Member Body of the World DanceSport Federation - provsionally and for the term of one year - 13 months after the expulsion of its predecessor, the Russian DanceSport Union.
