Anton Aldaev and Natalia Polukhina, RUS, were the other newcomers to the world of ShowDance who went all the way. After something very similar happened in the Standard earlier, with Danes Bjorn and Ashli claiming first against a field of established specialists, Anton and Natlia had confirmation that such a frontal assault could end up successful.
When they danced the choreography, which Dutchman Ton Greten had developed for them, in the final, they felt different than on other occasions and allowed for their characters and theme to impact on the public in attendance. The performance convinced the adjudicators too: first place on the first time out!
