The 2018 GrandSlam Series has offered some memorable moments, ups and downs, good days and not-that-good days, and most of all, the Best in DanceSport. During the year there have been competitions where the final ranking was clear right after the first dance. But there were also competitions where the scores were so even that the excitement continued until the last scores of the day.
No qualifying leg was the same. There have been new names passing through the semifinal to final, some couples have managed to secure their position firmly in the final and some have been pushing themselves more than ever before to keep their ranking in top six. There have been amazing duels that have kept us on our toes. It has been really interesting this year, and the best of all is, that the quality of Standard and Latin dancing seems to be improving and getting even better event after another.
The 2018 Series, which began in Helsinki, Finland in March, continued in Taipei City, Chinese Taipei in June, was followed by Rimini, Italy in July, followed a thunderstorm in Stuttgart, Germany in August and concluded in Moscow, Russian Federation in October. And now, the Best of the Best are arriving Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, for the Series Final.
It will be something epic. Earth will move as the DanceSport SuperStars enter the dancefloor.
