Issue 2014/01: European Commission Meeting

The WDSF European Commission composed of Antero Koponen (Finland), Chair, Franz Allert (Germany), Eva Bartunkova (Czech Republic), Flemming Riis (Denmark) and Sergio Rotaris (Italy) had a meeting with WDSF President Carlos Freitag on 23 May 2014 in Munich (Germany).

The Meeting discussed thoroughly the Presidium’s Motion to the 2014 Annual General Meeting about the Continental Associations. The European Commission unanimously supports the Presidium’s Motion and asks the support of the European WDSF Members. Furthermore, the Commission asks the Presidium to speak with the WDSF Members of the other continents to support the motion.

The European Commission reminds all European Members of the Open European Forum on Friday 13 June 2014 at the WDSF Annual General Meeting in Bucharest (Romania) where this matter will be discussed.

When the motion has passed in the AGM, the European Commission invites all the European delegates to a meeting to fix the road map to establish the WDSF European Continental Association, with a goal to have the founding meeting on 16 August, 2014 in Stuttgart (Germany). There will be a separate invitation to the European WDSF Members for the founding meeting.
