200 Years of Viennese Waltz 13/05/2014

Ball at Vienna City Hall The Vienna City Hall, seat of the Vienna Mayor as well as the City Council, will be the backdrop to another night of dancing, just like in Wilhelm Gause's painting on the left.

Concurrently with their traditional Vienna Dance Concourse on 9 June, the organisers stage this year's European Championship Standard Showdance in the magnificient Festival Hall. As Vienna celebrates the 200th Anniversary of the Waltz it gives its name to, the addition of the championship to the Concourse programme marks this occasion too.

A WDSF Communications will be on location and report on the "Live from Vienna" blog from the European. Stay tuned!
