Letter Verena Sulek to PD Athletes 06/05/2020

To WDSF PD Athletes                                                                                                   May 2020

Dear PD Athletes

I hope you all and your families are safe.

“With the global COVID-19 pandemic, we are all living in much uncertainty” said IOC President Thomas Bach recently.

The uncertainty could have a very bad influence on our well-beeing but the dancers have two important qualities: cheerfulness and optimism. Let us remain so in this difficult time!

I cannot promise you today that everything will be very soon as it was before the pandemic but I can promise you that we will do our best that the competitions could  re-start as soon as possible.

All our organizers are already preparing for the competitions that have been postponed or are scheduled in autumn but of course, we all have to wait for the final decision of the  World Health Organization and the decisions of the Governments in each country.

We have to be aware that things will change after the Corona-pandemic and we will have to adapt to these changes.

Use this time for things that you in recent years never had enough time for.

I wish you all the best,

Verena Šulek
WDSF PD Director
