20/02/2024 read more ...The 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG) in Incheon, KOR, will mark the official merger of two events into a single major competition. The Asian Indoor Games took place in 2005 (Bangkok, THA), 2007 (Macau) and 2009 (Hanoi, VIE), while the Asian Martial Arts Games were held only once in 2009 (Bangkok, THA) before the Olympic Council of Asia decided to combine the two Games for 2013.
AIMAG provide a large-scale regional competitive arena for a wide range of sports such as Muay Thai, billiards, futsal and electronic gaming. More than 2,000 athletes and officials take part. The 2013 Games take place from 29 June through 6 July.
DanceSport has been on the programme of the Asian Indoor Games since their inception and features very prominently in this year's edition too. The Latin and Standard events will be held on 4 and 5 July at the Samsan World Gymnasium, the main venue where the opening and closing ceremonies will take place.
