2016 World SEN IV STD 08/02/2016

Antwerp, BEL - 5 February We have added 150 photographs taken by our colleague Helmut Roland during the 2016 World Championship Senior IV Standard in Antwerp, BEL, to the gallery.

Videos of the decisive stages should go up there later today or tomorrow. The story of this World Senior IV Standard resembled that of the editions danced in 2014 (Calvià, ESP) and 2015 (Tilburg, NED). Italy was once more dominant, fielding five of the six finalists, making the podium an all-Italian affair and putting the title holders, Luciano Ceruti - Rosa Nuccia Cappello, on the highest echelon.

Bram Stelling - Ans Stelling, NED, first runners-up in 2015, were the only couple to break the Italian hegemony. They finished fifth in 2016.

The semi-final was hotly contested, with 15 couples dancing it: Finland, Germany, Japan and USA were represented and gave it a more international flavour.
