Assoluti 2016 Soaring 04/02/2016

FIDS The Italian DanceSport Federation (FIDS) produced extensive media coverage on the recent National Championships in Rimini. A live stream from the Palacongressi venue was provided on the different Latin and Standard events held over the last days of the championship. A cumulative audience of 178,000 followed the action online.

News and other information published under the hashtag #assolutifids2016 were called up some 350,000 times. The number of fans, followers and subscribers increased dramatically on FacebookInstagramTwitter and YouTube.

The National Championships are our flagship event," said FIDS President Christian Zamblera in a press conference. "We work hard all year to provide our athletes with a good show, one that is even better than those offered in some of the most popular international events. No coincidence, therefore, that WDSF has entrusted us with the organisation of the 2016 European Championship Latin." The WDSF Presidium has recently awarded the 2016 European Latin to FIDS - for the championship to be held in Rimini this July - after the French organisers had to renounce in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris.
