Democracy At Work 15/06/2016

Presidium Members with Declan Hive The 2016 General Meeting (AGM) as well as the other meetings associated with it produced the outcomes that were anticipated and that will make DanceSport better.

We are all here for this one reason: the betterment of our sport," is what WDSF President Lukas Hinder told the delegates in Rome, ITA, ahead of the AGM.

In an AGM that extended over more that nine hours and that left no question unanswered the delegates dealt with the past and addressed the future.

Motions presented by Presidium were carried as were those brought before the AGM by National Member Bodies. A WDSF Media Relations Code, Social Media Rules and an Internal Dispute Resolution Code - all three presented by the Presidium at the request of the WDSF 2020 VISION Working Group - will keep WDSF governance fully compliant with the highest standards in world sports.

Germany's motion regarding the Adjudicator's B licence and Slovenia's motion to install an Adjudicators' Commission were both carried against the recommendations of the Presidium. Democracy at work!
