EDC 2008 Broadcast & Webcast 05/09/2008

Avatar The International DanceSport Federation (IDSF) encourages DanceSport enthusiasts everywhere to watch the Eurovision Dance Contest (EDC) 2008 either on air or online. A live world feed of the show will be available as video stream from the official EDC website.

 

On Saturday, 6 September, at 19:00 UTC, millions of viewers from all over Europe tune in for DanceSport delivered live from Glasgow, Scotland. Not only will the spectacular show be aired on television in 20 countries, it can also be followed live through www.eurovisiondance.tv.

The 135-minute EDC will air live in the following countries and on the specified channels (consult the TV guides for information in countries where no channel is specified):

  • Albania

  • Armenia

  • Austria (ORF 2)

  • Azerbaijan (Itimaci)

  • Belarus (BTRC First)

  • Cyprus (CyBC)

  • Denmark (DR 1)

  • Finland (YLE 2)

  • FYR Macedonia (MKRTV)

  • Greece (NET)

  • Iceland (RÚV)

  • Ireland (RTÉ One)

  • Lithuania (LRT LTV 1)

  • The Netherlands (Nederland 1)

  • Poland (TVP 2)

  • Portugal (RTP 1, RTP International, RTP Africa)

  • Russia (Channel One)

  • Spain (TVE 2)

  • Sweden (TV4)

  • Ukraine (NTU Channel One)

  • United Kingdom (BBC One)

The 2008 Eurovision Dance Contest will be broadcast on Sunday in Bosnia & Herzegovina (BHT 1 at 16:00) and Israel (IBA Channel One).

The show will also be webcast live through www.eurovisiondance.tv as well. Eurovision TV, the television department of the European Broadcasting Union, in cooperation with its streaming partner Octoshape and the BBC, will present the international feed, which does not provide commentary. The show will be offered in two bit rates: 350kbps and 700kbps.
